Olly Moss has created an amazing Oscar poster to celebrate 85 years of the award show …. can you guess each year’s Best Picture winner by the Oscar it represents? It took me a minute to figure out 2001′s winner, A Beautiful Mind.

I saw The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in HFR-3D last night and really enjoyed it … the story and the frame rate. Very beautiful and I welcome this new innovation to film.

Here is a character photo and description of Weird Girl from Tim Burton’s stop-motion remake of Frankenweenie.

WEIRD GIRL (voiced by Catherine O’Hara)
Weird Girl doesn’t fit in well with the other kids in New Holland, but it’s easy to see why-she delivers ominous pronouncements in a monotone voice with an unnerving stare. Her constant companion is her fluffy, white cat Mr. Whiskers, whose unblinking gaze matches her own. The other kids give them a wide berth-especially when Weird Girl rambles about Mr. Whiskers’ dreams.

Adam and I went and saw Part of Me last night. Adam didn’t really know much about Katy and her songs but I think he enjoyed it. I really liked it. Seeing a very personal side of Katy and the type of person she is (and where she came from) really made the movie.
