Tekkonkinkreet was really good. The animation was breathtaking and the use of camera in 3D environments with the 2D animation was amazing. The movie is surprisingly very dark and gritty. Like most anime; suspension of disbelief is in order, but I really liked how they tried to ground the story while at the same time not ignoring that it is an anime. I cant really compare it to anything else … The English dub was great btw. I recommend it. :3

I love love love love The Rocketeer. I love the time period, the style and look. If you have not seen the Disney Live Action film you are missing out. Captain America: First Avenger director Joe Johnston directed the 1991 movie; which Disney just celebrated the 20th anniversary last week.
